The encoding of music, the score, was attempted to be converted into a visual encoding. Basic properties of music were transformed into properties of painting. The notes changing in time became a sequence of rectangular forms with clear colors in space. Scaling on high or low notes was converted to scaling of color saturation. Experimentation on this idea is ongoing. The work was created digitally using computer-based tools. Οn the one hand the colors, which scale like the flute in Verdi’s composition, evoke the playful and joyful atmosphere of a circus parade. Οn the other hand the colors, which scale like the soprano’s voice, evoke a sense of tragedy and inevitability, amplifying the emotional depth of the composition.

"Using a well-known search engine on a specific date, I searched for images of every country or region on Earth (360 place names using the English language). From each set of images that resulted from the search, I saved one image that I found to be representative. I then created a PDF file consisting of one image per country or part of the Earth at a given moment, as they appeared in my online search.
